A feminist ‘revolution’ towards gender-based violence is going on in Spain, activists say.
Girls took to the streets in outrage final April, over the trial of 5 males, who referred to as themselves La manada (the wolf pack). They have been accused of gang-raping an adolescent, however have been discovered responsible of a lesser offence and acquitted of rape.
The ruling prompted a #MeToo-style outpouring of girls’s tales on social media. The federal government promised to vary the sexual assault legal guidelines.
However the feminists are going through a backlash. Vox, a brand new political celebration which has been accused of waging warfare towards ladies, is gaining floor.
Spain holds a common election on April 28.
