A person has stabbed at the least 16 folks, together with youngsters, close to a park outdoors Japan’s capital, Tokyo, officers say.

It isn’t but clear what was behind the assault on Tuesday morning, which has reportedly left at the least one little one and one grownup useless.

A suspect has been arrested in relation to the incident, which occurred in Kawasaki metropolis, on the southern edges of Tokyo, public broadcaster NHK studies.

Police responding to the assault recovered two knives, media report.

The suspect stabbed himself within the shoulder earlier than he was detained, NHK added.
