GKIDS Acquires North America Rights to ‘Marona’s Implausible Story’


NEW YORK GKIDS, producer and distributor of animation for grownup and household audiences, has acquired the North American distribution rights for the animated function Marona’s Implausible Story, by movie from director Anca Damian. Damien’s earlier movie, Crulic: The Path to Past, gained Annecy’s Cristal Prize for Greatest Characteristic in 2012. Marona’s Implausible Story premiered final week on the Annecy Worldwide Animated Movie Pageant. The North American all-rights deal was negotiated by GKIDS’ CEO Eric Beckman and Charade’s Carole Baraton. Rights are being offered worldwide by Charades.

GKIDS president, David Jesteadt, commented, “We’ve been enthusiastic about this movie since we noticed the primary photos a number of years in the past.
