Ghana bus crash: Dozens killed after two buses collide in Bono East

No less than 50 individuals have died and others have been injured after two buses collided in central Ghana.

The crash occurred in Kitampo city, 430 km (270 miles) north of the capital Accra, at 0200 GMT on Friday morning, police say.

Emergency companies are on the scene rescuing passengers nonetheless trapped inside the 2 automobiles.

Every bus had about 50 passengers on board. One of many automobiles caught hearth after the collision.

“Many of the passengers in each automobiles died on the spot. A variety of them with various levels of accidents have been rushed to hospital,” a police spokesperson mentioned.

Highway accidents are widespread in Ghana. A mean of six individuals die day by day on Ghana’s roads.
