A passenger airplane has slid off a runway within the US state of Florida, ending up in a river after touchdown throughout a thunderstorm.

Not one of the 143 folks on board the Boeing 737 have been severely harm.

The chartered plane, operated by Miami Air Worldwide, had flown from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to a navy base in metropolis of Jacksonville .

Passengers say it landed closely in the course of the storm, skidding into the close by St John’s River.

At the least 20 folks have been handled for minor accidents.

Passenger Cheryl Bormann instructed the CNN TV community of the “terrifying” second the airplane slid off the runway late on Friday.

“The airplane actually hit the bottom and bounced – it was clear the pilot didn’t have complete management of the airplane, it bounced once more,” she mentioned.
